In our Tuesday class we are exploring the chakras, their development, how to balance them and keep them open and functioning optimally. We are now working on the heart chakra. We are completing exploration of one chakra over the course of three classes, along with the “Weather Report”, individual check-ins and readings, and guided meditatons.
I saw this quote recently:
The philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (books by this author), born in Stuttgart, Germany (1770), started out as a philosopher of Christianity, and he was particularly interested in how Christianity is a religion based on opposites: sin and salvation, earth and heaven, church and state, finite and infinite. He believed that Jesus had emphasized love as the chief virtue because love can bring about the marriage of opposites
During our exploration of the heart chakra we are understanding that it is the gatekeeper between the information shared from the lower chakras and the upper chakras and the synthesis of the earth plane meeting the spiritual plane, i.e. finite becoming infinite, etc. Love is based in the heart, which is where the heart chakra resides.
During my recent mediation, I noticed a lot of distraction when my mind wanted to talk about what it wanted to accomplish, and noticed it was making my third charka anxious. There is a correlation between the throat chakra (fifth chakra which covers communication) and the third chakra. I felt guided to hand over the problem to my heart chakra, and almost immediately felt calmed. It was if a wise and competent parent had taken over my problems.
I am grateful for being able to lead this class on the chakras because it is teaching me how to be more present, and how to be more mindful of my internal processes
Love and light Julie

OH, darling, Julie. I think of you EVERY Day and send love and blessings. Thank you again for insightful words. I am releasing my new CD “ARe We There Yet?” on sunday at the Brewery. How I wish you were nearer and I were nearer to celebrate life together more. Busy time. New York trip was fun, traveling was not so fun, but all in all I was so glad I went. Jimmy is wonderful, Majik is doing great. Autumn is nearly here, I am waiting. Hope to chat soon. Patty
